Anthropometric Measurements

Stonewall Analytics used data science tools and techniques to provide an updated anthropometric dataset specific to the population of the United Kingdom for a large, multinational consulting firm. A preliminary analysis with several datasets was performed to understand general relationships and demographic differences among anthropometric measurements. This analysis used the 1988 Army Anthropometric Survey (ANSUR) and the 2011 Health Survey for England (HSE) datasets.

The result was a dataset with anthropometric measurements with gender and age distributions closely matched with citizens of the United Kingdom. The work allowed for the consulting firm to engage in human factors design work specific to its customer base.
